Lizu's 101 in 1001: October 2007

Yesterday was the first day, and I got my tongue pierced.

It didn't hurt like I expected it to. It still doesn't hurt, it's just swollen, and the swelling is more annoying than anything else.

Off to a decent start.

My 101 in 1001

1) Get My Associates Degree
2) Get completely out of "bad" debt
3) Get down to a size 5/6 again and maintain it
4) Learn to scuba dive
5) Go skydiving
6) Go hiking in the Rockies
7) Go on a cruise to show that I am no longer afraid of boats
8) Learn to speak Japanese
9) Learn to speak German
10) Volunteer 200 hours at a shelter
~~11) Acclimatize my body to meat, or at least do the best I can to do so, so that one day I might be able to eat like a normal human~~ Medically impossible
12) Diminish my hoard down to a more manageable mess
13) Write a song
14) Grow my hair back out to my mid-back

16) Watch the sun set from some spot several klicks from civilization with someone I care for
17) Go camping... real camping, not LARPing... for an entire weekend
18) Finish vindicated.us AND fandomscares.us
19) Learn to play guitar
20) Go to a convention and NOT dress in costume at all.
21) Attend a professional sporting event

23) Dress professionally every day for two weeks (excluding weekends)
24) Retrain my vocal range, even if that means going to lessons
25) Have professional photos taken

27) Purchase a new bed ~~and bedding~~
28) Stop biting my nails and let them grow out
29) Switch away from sugar to mostly Splenda and from normal to diet sodas. (Adult-onset diabetes will NOT be my friend, so let's avoid that.)
30) ~~Drop my cell phone plan down to 450 minutes instead of the 900 minutes it's currently at,~~ and get a house line for non-mobile calls.
31) Spend part of an Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany (somehow I doubt I could last all 2 weeks, but a few days would be awesome)
32) Get a tattoo: "doku" on my right shoulder blade.

34) Get a second hole in my ears.
35) Finish a portrait piece
36) Finish my comic book
~~37) Go karaokeing without drinking~~
38) Go two entire weeks without chocolate or candy
39) Be completely honest about my feelings with the people around me, for one 24-hour period. COMPLETELY CANDID.
40) Play a male character in a tabletop RPG
41) Get my body back to being gymnastically-inclined and flexible
42) Go star-gazing
43) Have a midnight picnic
44) Make an outfit that's NOT costuming
45) Visit at least 20 states and collect a shotglass and a picture from each as proof (they can be states I've been to before, but I start collecting now.)
46) Spend two days without speaking at all, to better understand the value of listening.
~~47) Finish getting the rest of my stuff from the four corners it's scattered to, and unpack it.~~
48) Actually obey God next time He tells me to stop and speak with someone, instead of telling Him "They'll think I've lost my bloody mind, sir."

~~50) Get a pair of glasses that I actually like wearing~~
51) Throw a party awesome enough it can't be contained in a mere apartment-- it must have a place rented to accommodate
52) ~~Actually believe, for once, that I am worth it~~
53) Go a week without wearing any black
54) Try something weird. Like something made with eggplant or something. (Eggplants ARE weird.)
55) Wake up at 6 a.m. every weekday for a month, and go jogging before work M/W/F.
56) Get far enough ahead on my bills that I can put an entire paycheck straight into savings.
57) Go on plot for SOLAR for a six-month term
58) Marathon Neon Genesis Evangelion plus the two movies. Straight. This will require a weekend.
59) Go back to the shrink, and willingly get my head back in order, even if that means pills. I shouldn't force the people I love to deal with my insane ups and self-destructive lows
60) Get back on birth control... or get it cut out. This bleeding to death once a month thing needs to cease, and ignoring it is not making it go away
61) Start back to school for my Bachelor's
62) Watch fireworks on Fourth of July from a rooftop
63) Kiss someone on New Year's Eve as the ball drops
64) Go whitewater rafting
65) Spend an entire day in bed (not sick!) just relaxing, cuddling, and reading
66) Canoe down the Okatoma
67) Learn to ballroom dance

69) See Jack Johnson perform live
70) Make pizza. From scratch.
71) Make a Flash cartoon
72) Get real artwork (Todd Lockwood is LOVE), and put all my posters and other such nonsense in a "game room"
73) Make a ballroom/princess dress (or have one made). And take pictures.
74) Watch the sun rise from the mountains.
75) Write a book
76) Write 5 short stories, and submit them
77) Redo the SOLAR: Cerroneth rulebook in the 3.5 Edition D&D style
78) Take Tai Chi
79) Take judo
80) Redo my Livejournal to look like vindicated.us
81) Eliminate the "f" word from my vocabulary
82) Express myself emotionally, for once, without needing to be backed up with music or song lyrics.
83) Do a Twi'lek costume for a convention or costume party
84) Learn to take a compliment.
85) Go to a Mardi Gras parade
86) Let someone else order for me at a restaurant and trust their judgment
87) Go to a family function without complaint or negativity
88) Have all my Paul S. Kemp books signed

90) Send in a PostSecret.
91) Learn to write in calligraphy
92) Throw out all the things I've saved that serve no purpose but being a fire hazard. Yes, that means all those old notebooks.
93) Get my Bartender's certification
94) Take and pass the Security+, A+, Network+, and Linux+. Just because.
95) Read the Terry Brooks Shannarra series.
96) Beat "Captain Jack" on heavy in DDR
97) Have sex in my office after hours (what? they don't all have to be "good" things, LOL!)
98) Sew enough garb and costumes that I managed to bring my fabric hoard down to a single plastic tubby
99) Have my Certificate of Ordination re-ordered and framed
100) Say "I love you" to the people I truly love the most; because that's the hardest "I love you" to say
101) Disappear for a week, with no way of people contacting me (not necessarily alone). Relax and enjoy a week off!
